2023-2024 PROGRAM CALENDAR OF EVENTS

    • Wednesday, April 17th, 7pm:  Summer Boarders in Westminster. Hosting summer boarders was a big business in Westminster from 1900-1935.
Our Curator will tell the story of these enterprises, with photos of the 5 old homes in Westminster that hosted summer boarders.  Westminster was an ideal location for summer visitors with Mount Wachusett being a huge draw for city dwellers.  They were anxious to go on vacation in the country where they wanted the fresh air and fresh foods that would improve their health, and they desired the unique experience of actually staying on a farm.  Join our program via zoom by clicking here and entering Passcode:  700863
    • Saturday, May 11th, 9am-12pm Annual Plant Swap & Sale:  Is a great place to begin collecting new plants.  As you divide up your plant beds, bring your extras to swap, or if you’re starting new, you can take what you want for a donation. New this year will be delightful hand crafted upcycled glass garden stakes to brighten up your garden. We’ll also have fresh Mother’s Day bouquets for the holiday that weekend.  Crocker Pond car registrations will also be available for free to Westminster residents. Take advantage!
    • Wednesday, May 15th, 7pm:  Chair Manufacturing…stayed tuned for more information.
    • Saturday, June 15th, 8am-2pm, Annual Town Wide Yard Sale: Looking to hold a yard sale, but don’t know when would be a good time?  Or you enjoy a day of hopping from one location to another in hopes of finding a treasure you didn’t know you were missing?  The Westminster Historical Society’s Town Wide Yard Sale is perfect for both situations.  Houses that register for the event are put on a map that can be purchased the morning of the event for people looking to find a treasure.  If you’re interested in being placed on the map you can fill out a registration form here.  All forms must be received by May 29th to ensure placement on the map.  The event is held rain or shine.
